Micah 7 - looks back to the player of a couple of seasons ago, handled Agbonlahor well.

Boat 7 - better at centre-back, he and Lescott complement each other well.

Lescott 7.5 - good dominant display, always looked solid.

Zaba 8 - captain's performance from the player - excellent defending.

Barry 7 - he and Paddy controlled the midfield for most of the game, albeit vs a below-par Villa.

Paddy 7 - kept the ball moving well, one of his best perfrmances for City, I think.

Silva 8 - arguably MoM, looked really good and a class above any of the Villa players.

Yaya 7.5 - the style of the game suited him, and he responded with a better performance than in recent weeks.

Kolarov 6 - took a while to get going, but better in the second hallf. Good battle with Herd, and provided some nice corners and crosses.

Balotelli 7 - the game summed him up - fantastic natural talent, dumb yellow card and a knee (?) injury.
