Player Ratings at Wigan
3 points are 3 points, but vintage City this ain't. Wigan caused us problems at times, mainly due to a fairly open midfield, but on another day Aguero could have scored a couple to seal the game. Nice to see Silva back, but he wasn't at his best - hopefully he'll be firing on all cylinders soon.
HART 7.5 - good solid display from Joe, made one save in particular that won us all three points.
ZABA 7 - tough battle with the Wigan flank players, but always looked up for it as usual.
SAVIC 6 - better showing today. Occasionally muscled out of it by Moses, but overall did okay.
LESCOTT 6 - marshalled Rodallega well enough, but his distribution needs improvement.
CLICHY 6.5 - sometimes left defending 2-on-1, but coped well and made some good forward forays.
BARRY 7 - in the wars tonight, but was able to hold things together under pressure and keep City in the ascendency.
MILNER 7 - all-action display again. He's never going to make your jaw drop, but does so much off the ball that often goes unnoticed.
NASRI 5.5 - seems low on confidence atm, but still able to contribute some good bits and pieces.
SILVA 6.5 - perhaps a bit rusty, although still plenty of nice interchanges notably with Aguero.
DZEKO 7.5 - put himself about more than usual, which makes a big difference to his effect on the game. Important goal, but his all round play was better than in recent weeks which is encouraging.
KUN 7.5 - despite going without a goal, Kun was a nuisance all night for Caldwell and Alcaraz, beating the offside trap repeatedly.
SUBS
DE JONG 6 - shored things up well enough.
NED/AJ N/A
MANCINI 7 - Squeezed a performance out of the side, but he will need to go back to the drawing board if his team are to beat Spurs and Liverpool in the upcoming games. The key issue will be how to get Silva time and space to hurt the opposition and instill more belief into a couple of the less confident players.
