Player Ratings v Liverpool
Tough game, almost exactly what I expected, so I'm reasonably happy with the point. Some good performances were accompanied by one or two less-than impressive showings, and I feel that teams are perhaps figuring out how to contain us - maybe time for Mancini to change things around a bit, especially when we're tired.
Hart 9 - kept our unbeaten run going.
Micah 6 - more conservative today, whether that was by design or circumstance is hard to say. Struggled a bit vs Downing.
Kompany 7 - good determination for the goal, but got drawn into fouls by Suarez. Still, solid enough and was always there for the team.
Lescott 7.5 - unlucky deflection, but countered that with some stout defending. The opposition have figured out that if they pressure Kompany, Lescott becomes the "out" ball for City, and the defender's distribution isn't good enough at the top level.
Clichy 6 - was targeted a bit by Liverpool, but did okay. His pace got him out of tricky situations.
Barry 8 - didn't wilt against a very physical Liverpool midfield - single-handedly at times. Does an awful lot of donkey work, perhaps too much.
Yaya 5 - couldn't bully the Liverpool midfield with his size, and tried to hold onto the ball too much. Offered little help tracking back, looked tired after 60 mins.
Milner 7 - got stuck in, showed passion, good battle with Enrique. Couldn't find a good forward pass often enough, but was given little space.
Nasri 5 - not much going forward, or defensively.
Silva 7 - similar comments as Milner. He and Aguero couldn't click today, credit to Liverpool for that.
Aguero 6 - worked hard, but nothing really came off today. Imho, his pace seems a little off - still carrying a groin injury?
SUBS
Mario 4 - tough second yellow, but he really should have known better. At least put himself about a bit, should have been on earlier.
Dzeko/Kolo - na
Mancini 6 - was hamstrung by the sending-off, but should have replaced Yaya (who should have been a sub rather than a starter for me) and Nasri earlier imho, perhaps using Nige as aid to Barry, shoring up the centre and restricting Adam who was influencing the game more and more. I'd like to see a real change in tactics in order to change games like this one, rather than the more subtle alterations, but the Balotelli incident did limit options today.

Jumping on the floor for fcuk all....
Most of their chances after City went down to 10 men....
Biggest cheat in world football....
Sick of hearing that famous LFC chant "handball"....
That's why they will finish 6th....
End of rant !!!
He awarded 80% of all free kicks to Liverpool, should have sent Reina off for handball outside his area; constantly ignored Suarez's cheating and diving.
Well done City, ref's have it in for us every week and we're still doing well. Just imagine how well we could do if the ref's we're impartial?!!
