Tevez and Adebayor
April 4th, 2010So we won that one against pretty miserable opposition, but we were due to do a demolition job on someone, and in the first ten minutes we did exactly that.
I have to say though that my MotM was Adebayor. I've been waiting for him to find his form again, and despite the conditions he played well today. He scored twice and made the Tevez goal while making some other very neat contributions that on another day may have resulted in more goals.

Tevez and Ade played well together, laying the ball off for each other and looking more like a partnership. Regardless of Burnley lacking any real fight, if Tevez and Ade can gain an understanding they could be the very best striking force in the Premiership, and I believe they showed the first hints of that.
Ade has been through a tough time, but it was great to see him live up to his own pre-match hype, and play well for himself and the team. Very encouraging.
We have to face much stiffer opposition in order to hang on to this fourth place we find ourselves in, but perhaps Ade's vow to win and get us into the Champion's league will bear fruit, and we may be witnessing the start of something - just in the nick of time.
