Sunderland Away - Team and Tactics
So, rested and restored after beating Chelsea at the Bridge in some style we turn to another must-win.
If we are to retain and build on our lead over our rivals for the Champions league place, we need every point possible in the remaining games.
Sunderland have had a disappointing season, I really thought they would have pushed for eighth spot. There were matches earlier in the season when they looked pretty good. but it appears to be over now for them. They wont be relegated, but may eventually suffer from the Middlesborough syndrome.
I believe that Cattermole is doubtful for the game, so without both him and Cana, Sunderland's midfield looks a bit lacking in bite. The young lad Henderson is also out - he's a decent player, so that's good for City. Obviously, Bent is the dangerman for us, especially as neither Lescott or Kompany are the fastest, but as long as complacency doesn't play a role, City should have enough to win. And as usual we need to win this one.
I doubt Mancini will play an overtly attacking game - expect City to keep it tight and play on the counter. (I'll take 1-0 or 2-1 wins for the rest of the season, thank you very much!)
Therefore I go for the same team as at Chelsea with SWP insted of Johnson.
Given, Richards, Zabaleta, Lescott, Wayne Bridge, Gareth Barry, Vincent Kompany, Nigel de Jong, SWP, Carlos Tevez, Craig Bellamy
