finally somebody singing off the same hymnsheet. he has inherited a crocked squad with a complete imbalance. hughes found room to give 1 debut to kids in 18 months (weiss) yet mancini has been forced to give 3 (boyata, ibrahim and cunningham) in just 3 months to enable his first choice players to get a rest during the hectic new year schedule. we have a small squad, and in some depts, limited quality. mancini can be naive but he is still very new to the english game and is seemingly intelligent enough to adapt something which can never be said of hughes who had 1 setup and stuck with it. give him the summer to add his own touch to the team and get a pre-season with the players and judge him then.

Amen to the initial post and follow up by Ant. Agree with everything - yesterday i read an article in one of the dailys (forget which)which began with 'Mancinis expensive signings crash out to Stoke with a whimper' etc.... etc... - can somebody please tell me exactly how many of Mancinis signings actually played at Stoke, expensive or otherwise? It's becoming truly ridiculous with some of these absolute numbtys getting on his back already. We started off the season hoping for a good cup run and realistically 5th or 6th in the prem........and now some of us think we've blown it because the treble hasn't been sewn up. It's bad enough from other teams fans - but your own...

Common sense at last. I'm getting mighty sick of the boo boys at eastlands - go support the scum if youre not happy we don't want you at Gods own club.

Damn right! We just need to get some kind of a result tomorrow to get some of the doom merchants, (a small section of city fans and 90% of the press)of the guys back. He may not be the answer to all our prayers but at least lets give him the chance to prove us right on that. He's inherited an unbalanced squad that seems to lack leadership and fortitude and if we are to get fourth place we're gonna need to acquire some.
I just feel the Carling Cup semi final was such a big disappointment to us all, and couple that with his failure to get us out of the slump which followed has clouded more than a few people's judgement of him.I think we will just have to judge him at the end of the season because if he gets us fourth place from this position, I for one would like to see what he could do with a few of his own signings.CTID
