Spot on.

A sensible and accurate assessment of where we are, and where we're going.

The only point I'd add is the role of the fans in all of this. We MUST model ourselves and our behaviour on our owners and NOT on our past(expecting the worst runs deep in our psyche) and the distorted views (expectations) of the media/fans of other clubs.

Showing the same class, patience and support they are, through what has to be an evolution WILL bring rewards.

Putting every result and set back into context...as you have here...and getting right behind MH & the players is fundamental to future success

Great piece Ian. Its a funny one because some of these games have been incredibly frustrating to watch and its easy to slam Hughes but Rome wasn't build in a day.

We brought in a lot of new faces this year and some of them are still finding their feet as well as old players like SWP and Superman who have both struggled to slot into a different system of playing. I do genuinely believe we'll get there. Yes we need a world class defender to come in January but I'm sure things have been going on behind the scenes and something will happen.

The media are loving this, they all want us to fall flat on our faces. Strange because having spent years telling us the top four needed to be challenged and now we've shown intent to do just that they're enjoying all the digs they can get in as we go for it...oh well...goes with the territory i guess.

I'm off to Spurs tonight, and its just started showing here in London...C'MON CITY...!!!
