Crouch or Santa Cruz? You decide.
I think most City fans would agree that we have been in dire need of a decent, big, goalscoring target man for a long time. We have probably not had such a player since Niall Quinn.
Two players we have been linked with for some time now are Roque Santa Cruz and Peter Crouch.
mancityblues is currently conducting a poll on the forum asking which player the fans would prefer if they had a choice.

Interestingly, both strikers have a very similar scoring record:
Eleven years in senior football for RSC, 234 league appearances, 67 goals. Strike rate: 1 in 3.49
Eight years for Crouch, 191 apps, 55 goals. Strike rate: 1 in 3.47
Not much difference!

rsc is a crock. off abovee stats e only plays 21 games a year on average so not worth 15m for 8 goals!
crouch is just plain crap. every team e played in as first choice striker has finished in bottom half of table and e only scores goals whilst e the only one in the team scoring. one season in top alf with liverpool where he was never good enough to get a run in first team. we need to be better than that liverpool team to break top 4 so surely e not wot we looking for.
as 3rd or 4th choice to give us option off bench, wud take either as as you say, not much between em!
RSC can beat an offside trap where as Crouch is useless, hes a tall Robbie Fowler where as RSC is a tall Robinho
how about option 3....NEITHER
p.s it will be gr8 to see phillips bk at the stadium of light this year.
