Suddenly it's Summer
And there's lots to write about. A few thoughts on the continuing Kaka story......
Regarding all of the fresh media speculation over Kakas possible move to Madrid, with figures ranging from £60 million to £70 odd million, I am struck by one question. How many papers, websites, clubs and fans of other clubs do you reckon will start moaning about Madrid ruining football? Not one I predict. If I am wrong and they do there certainly won't be as many as set about berating us!
It just goes to show how the so called "big clubs" think they have a God given right to do what they like, but as soon as a club in our current position come along and put the squits up them by dipping our toes in their waters, they try to knock us back down to the level they expect us to stay. Well not for long! They don't like it up 'em! (from TFS)

I disagree, it is clear that TFS has completely missed the point. 'The big four' have built their success entirely on home grown talent and free transfers, not once have they paid over the odds or used strong arm tactics to financially out muscle the opposition, they are paragons of fiscal virtue and the sooner we accept that the best we can hope for are scraps from their exalted table the better it will be for everyone.
How vulgar and crass of us to suppose that we can join the elite just because we've come into money, we have to understand that any player that comes to City is just after a monster pay day unlike those working class heroes that join United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool that play for nothing more than the love of the game. And yet... City fans are starting to stir; after so many false dawns, the sap is starting to rise again, and the mighty Sky-Blues are once again a force to be reckoned with - in terms of financial power at the moment, but as we've seen over the last 17 years, money talks loudest when it comes to playing field success.
Get out of our way...
