Was sitting in an internet cafe in Gral.Pachecho, Argentina having travelled the length of South America to meet up with the Argiebird who is now my wife and mother of my 2 children. She couldn't speak English then and my Spanish was beyond explaining why I had to spend a days Argentine pay to spend 2.5 hours hitting a return button. The owner of the cafe still recalls the squeals of delight as I saw 2-2!
Lots of water under the bridge since then and I have to say that I'm extremely tentative about us winning something on a regular basis. It can't possibly match the pleasure, pain and cameraderie of the emotional rollercoaster of 1996 - 2004.

I was lucky enough to be in the UK for a Wedding & even luckier that my Uncle's neighbour's son, whom I hadn't even met, came up with a ticket (thanks Paul, still owe you a big favour). I was 41 at the time. Having emigrated to Australia when I was 9, I'd hardly ever been to Maine Rd, let alone Wembley. I have never been to anything like it. Emotion, atmosphere, noise, banter & becoming best friends with total strangers. No other sporting event I have ever been to comes close. I can virtually name all the City games I have been to, so to have been at this one was a privilege.
