Sven's derby team had BALLS
I find myself agreeing with Alan Hansen this morning, City lack backbone. Sven's team that took six points away from the reds last season were at least prepared to scrap for 90 minutes - yesterday Hughes' team were out-gunned, out-thought, out-manouevred and out-classed.
Team spirit is everything, even the most talented players in the world must feel proud of their team, be excited at the prospect of winning against the odds, feel secure in each other's abilities and ready to put their reputations in each other's hands. Hughes doesn't seem able to instil that message in his players, or they don't want to listen.
Spurs will be happiest of all this morning, they will be sure now that next Saturday will be a cake-walk for them. The final game against Bolton will probably mean three points for us, but our season has petered out to nothing. How disappointing is THAT?? After the high hopes of last Summer, now we have nothing but the promise of jam tomorrow. I'm getting on now, I don't have the luxury of years stretching ahead, I want it all, and I want it NOW.
So I find myself now not actually caring either way. Hughes can be removed or given till Christmas or even another season - I really don't care. There have been signs lately that that all-important team spirit was finally beginning to emerge, yesterday put paid to that. All I do now is look on. I'm an interested observer, no more. Like a spare p***k at a wedding

That's Hughes' biggest problem now, team spirit
But to say Sven's team had balls, you have to be having a laugh. Apart from Derby day, last year after Christmas we were absolutely disgraceful. I know that there were lots of problems behnid the scenes etc, but the 8-1 on the last day of the season hardly was a ballsy performance was it?
Sven's team had balls? Not really, you are speaking it though
Fortunately I am in a position to moan now and again, and give you the opportunity to disagree. Don't ruin your karma for the day on my account
I probably chose a bad title, because it seems that's all you have read.
