Seriously, I know it's the best chance we have had for years, I know we could become a top side, and all because od ADUG, but I hope we don't lose sight of what City represents. I mean to the fans, where we come from. We are from the streets. This latest thing is a very good marketing idea, and builds the business profile and may extend the fanbase, but blimey. http://www.thedrum.co.uk/news/2012/03/06/harvey-nichols-unveils-concept-box-mcfc-s-etihad-stadium?I'm perhaps just being an old fart but it excludes a hell of a lot of fans, that does, and it's a symbol, or maybe a symptom

This is so far removed from reality and City's core support it looks at first sight like a spoof article. Welcome to the bullshit zone.

I can see where your coming from clev but I actually agree with Lezba who replied; Oh reet! mebby not fert cloth cap brigade but a brill idea fer mekin some dosh! Well done to the owner and his highly imaginative team!if City are to buy world class players then our income has to be maximized, especially now with FFP rules, and it wont effect your average punter in row M I actually think another thing should be to expand the stadium to 60,000 and tempt the local City fans who dont ermmm ... go, and I think the way to do that is to create a team as good as Barca. besides, I bet the tosspots at scumville are reading these things and bricking it..............bring it on

i dont think this makes any difference to the city fan on the street.... personally i would hate to watch a game from a corporate box....i prob think most city fans would... but if its something thats working for the club and there making a few quid out of it so be it,more luck to them.... it wont really bother the genuine city fan in row z or where ever.... most of them in these boxes hardly watch the game anyway to be honest....

I'm all for it. The average punter having a pint in the Townley or Mary D's won't change their attitude because of Harvey Nick's.
Like nimmers says we need to maximise our potential earnings to comply with the new rules, even though they are nonsense.

Although the corporate hospitality trend is increasing at the top end of football entertainment, it's not really for me. Watching a match dressed in a suit I find is alien and I have only done it once when I treated my elder Brother for a special birthday meal. Fillet steak and Red wine etc. is great but a pie and a pint seems more appropriate on match day (the fact that we were beaten 3-0 that day may have coloured my view of the occasion)

Anything that brings in extra corporate dosh to the club is fine by me as that will mitigate the price rises for the rest of us that will inevitably follow from Platini's farcical FFP rules.
